Hours of work: 5 days per week – 8.40am – 3.15pm (30 mins lunch)             

Contract type: Fixed Term Contract until 31.8.23 term time only. May lead to permanent role.

 

KS1/EYRS: Closing date (and time): Tuesday, 5 July 2022 at 12 noon

KS2: Closing date (and time): Thursday, 7 July at 12 noon

Fynamore Primary School are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistants to join our team. The role may involve working with children who have attachment difficulties, physical disabilities or learning difficulties. Experience of working across the primary / specific years groups would be beneficial. The role is currently for the 2022 / 2023 academic year.

 

The successful applicant will need to:

  • understand that there can be emotional barriers to learning that need to be supported

  • have the ability to recognise possible triggers and support children to overcome these in a supportive and calm environment

Fynamore Primary School is set on the western edge of Calne.  It is a popular, vibrant and welcoming community with a strong commitment to inclusion and to the children’s wider personal and academic development.

 

We are looking for a lunchtime midday supervisory assistant to predominantly work in the hall to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children during lunchtimes. The successful candidate will have a calm and positive manner with children and will assist in promoting positive bahaviour.

.

The main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Supervision of pupils, either in the lunch hall or other areas within the school/playground, whilst they are eating lunch or taking part in lunchtime activities.
  • Carrying out associated duties, e.g. clear spillages, clean tables and benches, set up and put away tables and benches that are used during the lunch break, sweep and mop hall floor as directed by the Senior MDSA.

 

The jobholder will be constantly standing and walking and manual handling of tables and/or equipment is involved. Some of the work will be undertaken outside and there will be background noise from pupils.

 

We would also require the successful applicant to be able to undertake casual hours within the premises team to cover absences of our inhouse cleaners after school hours, and be available to complete various tasks before school to ensure that the playground is safe such as gritting or clearing leaves during the winter months. A willingness to be a key holder and having availability to lock the school when required would be welcomed.
