We provide a large range of exciting and fun activities at playtime and at lunchtime. If you have any questions about how your child can get involved, please speak to their class teacher.
Up and Under Sports
Two days each week coaches from Up and Under Sports provide football and basketball sessions for children on the Year 5/6 playground. These take place at lunchtimes.
Total Pro Soccer
Coaches from Total Pro Soccer provide football sessions every day at lunchtime on the Year3/4 playground. Children participate on a class rota.
Change 4 Life Club
This club is run with groups of children once a week by a coach from Up and Under Sports. The coach leads active games, with a focus on teamwork, to encourage children to participate in physical activities.
Friendship Stop and Buddies
The Year 1, 2, 3 and 4 playground has a special friendship stop. If a child needs someone to play with, they can wait in this area and our Y5/6 buddies will take them under their wing, by playing games or simply having a chat.
Every lunch time we run 'Playtime Pitstop' in a special room inside school. This is for children who, for whatever reason, are finding playtimes difficult at any given time.
Mrs Straker, one of our Teaching Assistants, is on hand in the Fix-It room every lunch time to provide a safe space that children can use if they need it. She is a good person for the children to talk to if they need a chat or have friendship issues.
Wake and Shake
Our Year 6 Young Leaders run 'Wake and Shake' once a week. This is a dance based activity that get the children moving and ready to learn!
Our lunchtime helpers are some of our Year 6 children who help the ladies in the kitchen and hall provide a smooth and calm lunchtime service. They have their own uniforms and are great at helping the children make good choices.
Our library is open every lunch time. Children can choose to come in and have some quiet reading time. This is run by our Year 6 children.
