‘You have remodelled the library innovatively. The space is well-resourced and inviting. Pupils are keen to spend time there and this has been one aspect of improving reading….. There is a tangible and infectious love of books within the school’.

The School Library
Fynamore School has a wonderful library. I has beautiful themed areas for quiet reading and group work. You can see photographs of the new library lower on this page.
We have thousands of educational and reference books, as well as an extensive collection of foreign literature. The library not only offers a place to read, but also acts as a classroom area where children can work independently or in small groups.
Children are expected to read every night and parents are asked to record their child's reading in their reading diaries. As children progress, their teacher will issue them with a new
colour-coded book.
The following list provides the progression your child/ren will follow as they make their way up the reading ladder, through the colour-coded books:
Beige
Pink
Red
Yellow

Green
Orange
Turquoise
