At Fynamore Primary School, we have some children whose parents or carers are in the armed forces. We welcome the broad range of experiences all our families bring to the school and value the many contributions to our school life and community.

Our Service Champion/ELSA, Julie King, runs a Club alternate weeks that children who have a parent or carer in the armed forces are welcome to join. During the sessions, the children play games or do craft activities. Children can also use this time to communicate to their parent/carer if they are away on a course or detachment. Mrs King also carries out 1-1 check ins with children whose parent/carers are away on detachment.

The children are able to spend time together in a group with children in a similar situation to themselves. Children can access this regardless of whether their parents or carers are away at the time.

If you are expecting to go away on detachment please email Mrs King via the office (office@fynamore.org.uk) with some information e.g. dates, so extra support can be put in place.
